If you have a file on your Chromebook desktop or in your Documents folder that you want to upload to your Google Drive, you can do so with the following instructions.
- From your taskbar, click on the Launcher in the lower left corner.
- Click on "Files".
- Alternatively, click the "Files" folder from your task bar if you have it pinned.
- Alternatively, click the "Files" folder from your task bar if you have it pinned.
- Find the file you want to add to your Google Drive.
- Drag the file to "My Drive" on the left side.
- Note that the "Google Drive" menu should be open already before you do this.
- Your file should now appear in "My Drive".
If you have a folder within your Google Drive's "My Drive" that you would rather upload the file to instead, you just have to open the menu until you see that folder, and drag the file into that folder instead.
NOTE: You can also copy (or cut) and paste the file from your "Files" folder into your Google Drive. Just copy/cut the file and then navigate to the folder you want to upload the file to and paste it into that folder.
