All about the Settings of your Newline board:
Remember, if you see the "gear" it means you have Settings Options.
- In "annotations" from your side toolbar, this is where you can turn the automatic screenshot on and off and where you can choose to write with "fine pen OR fingers".
Help! My Pen Changes Color When I’m Writing (Video)
- Smartboards are always receptive to anything touching the panel, such as a thin point, thick point, or a larger input like the entire palm of your hand. This "object recognition" is why the pen might change colors, if you have different colors set up for using a thick point (like your finger) and a thin point (like a stylus pen). It's detecting the size of the object and responding accordingly to it.
- The "object recognition" is so sensitive it can differentiate between when your finger is touching the board and when your fingernail is touching the board, even on accident, and it will detect that fingernail touch as a "thin point", so the board will change the pen color as you write on it.
- Jumbo points (like your entire hand) generally act like erasers, so it will delete anything you touch on the screen rather than draw on it.
- If you've set your pen to be "fine pen only" in your settings, then you can only write using a thin point object, and using a thick point object will move the screen or zoom in on it instead.
