Newline Smartboard Interactive Panel: How to use the "Spin the Wheel" App

When you need to use a Random Picker Wheel on your Newline board, follow the steps below:

1. Go to https://spinthewheel.app/ on your computer to start making the wheel before you use it in your classroom.
2. Select "Categories".
3. Choose any of the wheels that strikes your fancy.
4. Select "Edit Wheel Online".
5. Highlight and delete the existing slice labels and start typing in your student names instead.
   1. Optional: If you have a ton of names and the text looks too large, tap "Settings", then use the slide to shrink down the size of the text to better fit on the wheel.
6. Once you’re done, press "Share" at the bottom of your wheel.
7. Press "Copy Link" and put it into a word doc you can open on your panel.
8. Go to your panel and open up your drive to click on the file you just created.
9. Click on the link in your document.
   1. If you see the "Open" button, press that
   2. If you don't copy the link and paste it into a browser tab.
10. Tap "Open App".
11. Tap "Save for Free".

Congrats! You’ve created your first wheel! You can use it in your classroom any time.
