When you need to use a Random Picker Wheel on your Newline board, follow the steps below:
- Go to https://spinthewheel.app/ on your computer to start making the wheel before you use it in your classroom.
- Select "Categories".
- Choose any of the wheels that strikes your fancy.
- Select "Edit Wheel Online".
- Highlight and delete the existing slice labels and start typing in your student names instead.
- Optional: If you have a ton of names and the text looks too large, tap "Settings", then use the slide to shrink down the size of the text to better fit on the wheel.
- Once you’re done, press "Share" at the bottom of your wheel.
- Press "Copy Link" and put it into a word doc you can open on your panel.
- Go to your panel and open up your drive to click on the file you just created.
- Click on the link in your document.
- If you see the "Open" button, press that
- If you don't copy the link and paste it into a browser tab.
- Tap "Open App".
- Tap "Save for Free".
Congrats! You’ve created your first wheel! You can use it in your classroom any time.
