MySprings has now enabled Two Factor Authentication, also known as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), to better ensure the security of your account.
In order to log into MySprings, you need the Google Authenticator app on your phone.. Visit one of the following places to download it:
Once you have it downloaded, proceed with the following instructions.
Setting up your authenticator after logging in for the first time
- Navigate to my.springscs.org and log in to your MySprings account.
- You will see a message prompting you to enable Two Factor Authentication. Click the blue "Enable" button to proceed.
- You will see a screen with a QR code on it.
- Open Google Authenticator and click the "+" plus sign in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then click "Scan a QR code".
- Once you have scanned the QR code, a new entry should appear on your Google Authenticator list. Memorize the code it gives you.
-
Return to MySprings and input the code in the "Enter Two Factor Code" field, then click the blue "Enter" button.
- Note that each code will only be valid for 30 seconds each, so if the code changes while you are entering it, you must return to Google Authenticator to retrieve the newest active code and enter that one instead. You will know if the code is about to expire if the numbers and countdown timer on the right side turns red.
