Alternative to Rectal Diazepam (DIASTAT)

Intranasal anti-seizure medications are now available as an alternative to rectal DIASTAT for the emergency treatment of seizures. Because they are given as a nasal spray, these medications can be administered quickly and discreetly, which may be especially helpful in school settings.
