How to add a Teacher or ACE in Canvas and Clever Apps

MySprings has a Manage Course Teachers tool that lets teachers add co-teachers to their Clever app and Canvas rosters! What It Does:

• Allows a Springs teacher to add/remove a co-teacher in Clever and Canvas, allowing that co-teacher to view grades and progress for that teacher’s students across Clever apps and Canvas courses.
• Enrolls new co-teacher into all Clever apps at once (includes I-Ready, Branching Minds, ST Math, etc.) as the related Canvas course.
• The recommended course to enroll your co-teacher in is the Self-Contained Homeroom. This gives the new co-teacher or ACE the ability to see your homeroom roster in Clever apps and the homeroom Canvas course.
• Other course sections may be visible, especially if you teach high school or middle school, and can also be linked to a co-teacher.
• The new co-teacher roster access will be in effect after the next data sync (usually within 24 hours)
   

Who To Link as co-teachers

• Your Team Teacher (same grade level or program)
• Your ACE

How To Access

• In MySprings, navigate to the left side panel and click on “Education” to expand the drop down menu.
• Click on “Manage Course Teachers”.
• In the new window that appears you may have several course sections visible. This is especially true of high school teachers or if you are a Principal with access to an entire site.
• Use the search window to narrow your search if needed.
• Click on “Add Teacher” next to the section where you wish to enroll a co-teacher
• Type the co-teacher’s name within the search bar, then click on “Submit” to confirm your choice.

NOTE: New Co-Teachers sync to Clever apps at 5:30AM, 1:30PM and 5:30PM daily and sync to Canvas at 6:30AM, 2:30PM, and 6:30PM daily.
