Factory resetting your Chromebook:
How to reset your Chromebook
- Press the "Esc" + "Refresh" + "Power" buttons simultaneously.
a. The Chromebook will reboot and you will see a large exclamation mark. - Press "Ctrl + D".
- Press "Enter" to turn OS verification Off.
- Press "Spacebar" to enable OS verification.
- Press the "Enter" button to confirm you wish to turn on OS verification.
After the Chromebook reboots
- Click the dropdown box next to "Select a network" and choose your wireless network.
- Once your Chromebook successfully connects to the wireless network, press the "Continue" button.
- Click "Accept" and continue.
- If your device asks who is using this device and it does not say "Enterprise Enrollment", press "Ctrl + Alt + E".
- For the email, enter "enroll@springscs.org". Then the MySprings log in will appear.
- Enter the following login information.
a. Username: enroll
b. Password: 0987654321 - At this point your device will enroll into the River Springs Google Apps domain.
- Click "Done".
- Log into your Chromebook with your Springs email.
How you will know the device is set up properly
- You should now see the "Apps" link at the lower right corner of the screen next to "Shut Down".
- Press the "Apps" link. You should see a link appear that says "AirSecureTest". If you do not see this link, restart the Chromebook and repeat the process. It could take a few tries before the "Apps" icon appears.
